Early Access

Underworld Ascendant is making great strides to meet it’s pledge goal (75% complete) and there is something you can do to help move things along. Well, yes, pledging more money would always be nice, but this bit of encouragement won’t cost you anything. Underworld has already been submitted to Steam for Greenlight so you should jump over and vote for it. This means it will get more exposure, more backers and it’ll make it easier to update and distribute the game through Steam.

We all jumped over to Steam to help Greenlight Shroud of the Avatar, so even if you aren’t financially committed to the game (yet) show some support by voting YES and get Underworld into Early Access.

Wow, that didn’t take long. Shroud of the Avatar has been given the Green Light by the community and will soon be available as a Steam Early Access game. That didn’t take long at all! I have no idea what this means to the game itself, but I can’t see how it’s anything but positive. I wonder if this means Portalarium can offload some of their server load to Steam so we can get better updates and patches? Wouldn’t that be nice?

Anyway, congratulations to the team for this latest milestone. Hopefully the game is gaining support as we keep moving forward.

The game isn’t on Steam yet, you can still get access from the SotA site and then jump in. I bet we’ll see it on Steam for Release 11.

So this is a good move and something I have been wondering about for months. The SotA team is now working to get Shroud of the Avatar listed on Steam. This is a smart move and I’ve been waiting and hoping for this. This is a great way to get exposure and get more people involved in the game. I think at this point all the big backers are spoken for, they need to round up as many Early Access people as they can. Some people just want the game for a cheap price and aren’t interested in all the bling and swag that’s being offered. I mean of you’re not already signed up to get a house then you just don’t care. Being on Steam is the next logical move. Besides gaining interest, I wonder if SotA will have achievements? Since there is a workshop, I wonder if SotA will hook into that? Could be some interesting goals laid out if they really wanted to go that route.

Anyway, throw your hat in the ring and help give Shroud of the Avatar the Greenlight. It doesn’t cost anything and you’re not obligated. It would just be nice to see this game hit a bigger channel and Steam is definitely the way to go.
